Uttar Kanya Kisan March at Siliguri, West Bengal organized on 27th December 2018

On 27th December 2018, a massive rally 'UttarKanyaKisanMarch' was jointly organised by AIKS and AIAWU West Bengal state committee at Siliguri. AIKS president Comrade Ashok Dhawale, AIKS West Bengal state committee secretary Comrade Amal Halder, AIAWU state president Comrade Tushar Ghosh & state secretary Comrade Amiya Patra, and Mayor of Siliguri MC Comrade Ashok Bhattacharya addressed the gathering . 

AIKS West Bengal state committee President Comrade Nripen Chowdhury has presided the meeting .

The list of demands includeded:

1] We want, Government to set up Argo-based industries in North Bengal.

2] Ensure Job for All.

3] Implementation of the recommendation of the Swaminathan Commission. The State and Central government will have to buy all crops at a rate of one and a half times the cost of production according to C2+50% formula.

4] All kind of agricultural debt must be waived.

5] Ensure 200 days of work and Rs. 350 per day wage in MNREGA welfare scheme.

6] Fix the wage not less than Rs. 18000 per month for Tea Workers.

7] Ensure social security by providing minimum Rs. 6000 monthly pension for all the peasants, agriculture workers and poor people.

8] The Work of the Teesta project should be completed Immediately.

9] Ensure full compensation to the Peasantry affected by River Bank Erosion and Wild Animals.

10] Reduce the cost of Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides etc. Ensure supply of inputs at subsidised rate and promote agro-ecological practices.

11] Stop harassing the peasants of border areas.

12] Protect Communal Harmony

13] Strict action must be taken against all corrupt public functionaries in the state and centre.

CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI AWARD CONFERRED IN DELHI ON AIKS PRESIDENT DR ASHOK DHAWALE

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial National Committee, Delhi, conferred the prestigious Chhatrapati Shivaji Award on AIKS national president Dr Ashok Dhawale in an impressive function held at the India Islamic Cultural Centre in New Delhi on December 17 evening. The award was given in recognition of the struggles he led in defence of the peasantry.

The great social reformer Mahatma Jotirao Phule, in a ballad written on the legendary leader Shivaji, had lauded him as the "king of the peasantry", thus effectively rejecting Shivaji's utterly false characterisation by the Hindutva and casteist forces as the "protector of cows and Brahmins".

Among those on the stage when the award was conferred were renowned poets and shaheers of Maharashtra Sambhaji Bhagat, Prakash Ghodke and Pratibha Ahire, recipient of the Rashtramata Jijau (the valiant mother of Shivaji) Social Service award Pushpatai Bonde, office bearers of the Memorial National Committee Milind Patil and Colonel Mohan Katkikar, noted artist and painter Rajanand Suradkar, AIKS  state president Kisan Gujar, AIKS state general secretary Dr Ajit Nawale, AIDWA national general secretary Mariam Dhawale and others. 

In his acceptance speech, Dr Ashok Dhawale said that he was proud to accept this award not for himself personally, but on behalf of the collective leadership of the All India Kisan Sabha and its constituent, the Maharashtra Rajya Kisan Sabha, which had led constant peasant struggles on vital issues like liberation from farm debt, remunerative prices at one and a half times the total cost of production, a comprehensive crop insurance scheme, land rights, pensions, MNREGA and others.

Highlighting the pro-peasant rule and secular credentials of Shivaji by citing several examples, he said today the situation had reversed. Due to the agrarian crisis that had been intensified by neo-liberal policies of the last 25 years, over three lakh farmers in our country had been forced to commit suicide due to indebtedness and tens of thousands of adivasi, dalit and other children had died due to hunger and malnutrition. Communal and casteist forces were inciting hatred, murder, violence and riots to divide the people. 

He concluded by saying that all left, democratic and secular forces must come together to defeat the communal forces and fight for a radical change in policies in favour of farmers, agricultural workers, the working class and the middle class. 

The elegant programme ended with a very effective and progressive poetry reading session by renowned poets Sambhaji Bhagat, Prakash Ghodke and Pratibha Ahire.

२९-३० नोव्हेंबरच्या 'किसान मुक्ती मार्च' विषयी सर्व मोर्चेकऱ्यांना महत्वाच्या सूचना

१. महाराष्ट्राच्या प्रत्येक जिल्ह्यातून किसान सभेच्या अधिकाधिक शेतकऱ्यांनी अखिल भारतीय किसान संघर्ष समन्वय समितीच्या संयुक्त नेतृत्वाखाली होणाऱ्या २९-३० नोव्हेंबरच्या 'दिल्ली चलो' 'किसान मुक्ती मार्च' मध्ये सामील होण्याचे किसान सभेच्या कोल्हापूरच्या राज्य कार्यशाळेत ठरले आहे.

२. सर्व मोर्चेकऱ्यांनी २८ नोव्हेंबरला सायंकाळपर्यंत किंवा उशिरात उशिरा २९ नोव्हेंबरला पहाटेपर्यंत हजरत निझामुद्दीन रेल्वे स्टेशनवर उतरावे. हे स्टेशन नवी दिल्ली रेल्वे स्टेशनच्या आधीचे स्टेशन आहे. 

३. किसान सभेचे राज्य/जिल्हा/तालुका बॅनर, झेंडे, बिल्ले, लाल टोप्या मोठ्या प्रमाणात आणाव्यात. तेथे आपल्या लॉंग मार्चच्या लाल टोप्या विक्रीसाठी ठेवल्या जातील.

४. २८/२९ नोव्हेंबरला निझामुद्दीनला पोहोचल्यावर येण्याचा पत्ता पुढीलप्रमाणे - गुरुद्वारा बाळासाहेबजी, सराई कलेखान, निझामुद्दीन. २८ नोव्हेंबरला रात्री राहण्याची सोय तेथेच आहे. मात्र तेथे स्वच्छता राखली पाहिजे आणि बिडी, सिगारेट, तंबाखू इत्यादीच्या सेवनावर पूर्ण बंदी आहे हे लक्षात ठेवावे. 

५. २९ नोव्हेंबरला सकाळी तेथून मोर्चा निघेल आणि सायंकाळपर्यंत तो नवी दिल्लीतील रामलीला मैदानावर पोहोचेल. रात्री तेथे चांगला सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित केला आहे. 'आप' पक्षाच्या दिल्ली राज्य सरकारने या मोर्चाच्या व्यवस्थेत मदत करण्याचे मान्य केले आहे. 

६. ३० नोव्हेंबरला सकाळी ८ वाजता अतिविशाल 'किसान मुक्ती मार्च' रामलीला मैदानावरून सुरू होईल आणि तो संसदेवर जोरदार चाल करेल. विराट जाहीर सभा झाल्यावर सायंकाळी ६ वाजता सभा संपेल आणि शेतकरी परत जाऊ शकतील. 

७. 'नेशन फॉर फार्मर्स' या मंचातर्फे देशभर या मोर्चाचा प्रचार आणि प्रसार विविध प्रकारे उत्कृष्टपणे केला जात आहे. त्यात विविध समाज विभाग आपापले उत्तम योगदान करत आहेत.

नाशिक जिल्हा किसान सभेतर्फे २५ हजार शेतकऱ्यांचा नाशिक जिल्हाधिकारी कार्यालयावर जबरदस्त मोर्चा

१४ नोव्हेंबर रोजी नाशिक जिल्हा किसान सभेतर्फे २५ हजार शेतकऱ्यांचा जबरदस्त जिल्हाव्यापी मोर्चा नाशिक येथील जिल्हाधिकारी कार्यालयावर काढण्यात आला. मोर्चाची सुरुवात गोल्फ क्लब मैदानावरून होऊन साहित्यरत्न कॉ. अण्णा भाऊ साठे यांच्या पुतळ्याला अभिवादन करून त्याचे रूपांतर शिवाजी मार्गावरील भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या पुतळ्याजवळ एका विशाल जाहीर सभेत झाले.

नाशिक जिल्हा दुष्काळग्रस्त जाहीर करा, पीक नुकसानीची भरपाई म्हणून हेक्टरी रु. ५०,००० रक्कम द्या, पिण्याचे पाणी, हाताला काम आणि गुरांना चारा देण्याची व्यवस्था करा, पश्चिम वाहिनी नद्यांचे पाणी अडवून ते मराठवाड्याच्या दुष्काळग्रस्त भागाला देण्याची व्यवस्था करा, वनाधिकार कायद्याची तात्काळ व काटेकोर अंमलबजावणी करा, दुष्काळग्रस्त शेतकऱ्यांची संपूर्ण कर्जमाफी व विजबिलमाफी करून त्यांना नवीन कर्ज द्या, उत्पादन खर्चाच्या दीड पट हमी भावासह स्वामिनाथन आयोगाच्या सर्व शिफारसी अमलात आणा, शेतकरी-शेतमजुरांना दरमहा रु. ५००० पेन्शन द्या या प्रमुख मागण्या होत्या.

मोर्चाचे नेतृत्व किसान सभेचे नेते आ. जे. पी. गावीत, डॉ. अशोक ढवळे, किसन गुजर, डॉ. उदय नारकर, सावळीराम पवार, सुनील मालुसरे, इरफान शेख, सुभाष चौधरी, इंद्रजित गावीत, उत्तम कडू, नामदेव मोहंडकर, मोहन जाधव, हनुमंत गुंजाळ, रमेश चौधरी, रमेश बरफ, देविदास आडोळे, विजय पाटील, सुवर्णा गांगोडे, धर्मराज शिंदे व इतर अनेकांनी केले. 

राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे जिल्हाध्यक्ष रवींद्र पगार, काँग्रेसचे जिल्हाध्यक्ष राजाराम पानगव्हाणे, शेतकरी संघटनेचे शांताराम पाटील यांनी स्वतःहून किसान सभेच्या या मोर्चास येऊन आपला पाठिंबा जाहीर केला. 

आ. जे. पी. गावीत यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील शिष्टमंडळ जिल्हाधिकारी बी. राधाकृष्णन यांना भेटले आणि त्यांनी वनाधिकार कायद्याची अंमलबजावणी, पाण्याच्या साठवणुकीसाठी वनराई बंधारे, विहिरींचे खोलीकरण व रुंदीकरण व इतर महत्वाच्या दुष्काळी मागण्या मान्य केल्या आणि धोरणात्मक मागण्या शासनाकडे तात्काळ पाठविण्याचे मान्य केले.

२९-३० नोव्हेंबर रोजी दिल्लीत होणाऱ्या किसान मुक्ती मार्च मध्ये मोठ्या संख्येने सहभागी होण्याचे या मोर्चाने ठरवले आणि उर्वरित प्रश्न शासनाने सोडविले नाहीत तर उग्र आंदोलनाचा इशारा दिला.
